4. Payment Information
Payment processing on TradeForge is handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. When you make a payment or subscribe to a plan:
- Your credit card number and banking details are transmitted directly to Stripe and are never stored on TradeForge servers
- TradeForge retains only the last four digits of your card number, card brand, and expiration date for display in your account
- Stripe processes your payment data in accordance with their Privacy Policy
- Transaction records (amount, date, subscription plan) are retained for billing and accounting purposes
5. Data Storage and Security
Your information is stored on servers located in Canada and the United States through our hosting and infrastructure providers. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers
- Encrypted storage of passwords and sensitive credentials
- Access controls limiting employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
- Regular security reviews and monitoring
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
6. Sharing of Information
TradeForge may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Within the platform: Project-related information (name, company, contact details, project data) is shared with other platform users involved in the same project — including contractors, builders, suppliers, and project owners — as necessary for project coordination
- Service providers: We share data with third-party providers that help us operate the platform (payment processing, hosting, analytics, email delivery)
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of TradeForge or its users
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of the transaction
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
7. Email Communications and Marketing
TradeForge sends the following types of email communications:
- Transactional emails: Account confirmations, password resets, billing receipts, and project notifications. These cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
- Marketing emails: Platform updates, feature announcements, and promotional content. You can opt out at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email or by updating your preferences in your account settings.
We comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) for all commercial electronic messages.
